“The American West” by Nicholas Trandahl

Good green valleys.

Glistening lakes—

eagle songs.

Reddened cliffs.

Lofty mountain summits—

court of colossal earth gods,

each with a wintry crown.

Place of purification.

Each curve of the land

unfolds another secret.
