Get Dressed for Justice: Poetry Month Workshop Week 4

  • Center for Colorado Women's History 1310 Bannock Street Denver, CO, 80204 (map)

Join us during National Poetry Month in April at the Center for Colorado Women’s History for a series of poetry workshops facilitated by local educator and poet, Marissa Forbes. Participants are invited to attend all dates but are not required to. Each workshop requires its own RSVP, so please visit each workshop posting to register. Workshops are held each Wednesday in April.

Workshop Description Week 4: Get Dressed for Justice

One important reason to learn about the history of Colorado is to connect it to our present issues—often the same ones women were supporting or fighting throughout time. This workshop will dive deeper into the control and liberation of undergarments, how they supported or restricted women. Then participants can come together to create a social justice collaboration piece that will shed light on how we can educate and empower each other.
